Brown calls for independent review

How best to avoid a future “toberlerone affair“: an independent review of every claim made over the past four years, which Brown said would allow MPs to show they are “worthy of public trust”.

I also caught on Newsnight Hazel Blears’ repay plans, now on the metro website, explaining her intention to “pay back the £13,332 she made by avoiding capital gains tax when she sold one of her homes.”

It has not yet been confirmed whether tory MP David Heathcoat-Amory will be eating £380 worth of manure in repentance.
