Doris Karloff, as she is better also known has been knocked out of the contest to become the next Speaker of the House of Commons.
Next stop: obscurity, please.
Update: Ann is reported to have said that she will vote for Sir George Young, adding “I don’t want the next Speaker to start with a lot of resentment”.
Why did she stand then?
